The Hood Scoop

The original 427SC race cars had a scoop that was rivited on, not integral with the rest of the hood.  The street cars didn't have a scoop at all.

Our standard kit gives you a smooth hood AND the separate scoop, for you to choose what design you like best.

This car also has rivits along the outside edge of the hood, like the original race cars.  It seems that at speed the aluminum skin would separate from the frame.  The fix was the extra rivits...
