Removing the intermediate column

Loosen and remove the clamp securing the lower column to the upper.

Remove the clamping bolt at the bottom of the intermediate column.

Remove the clamps holding the rack to the chassis and allow the rack to hang from the tie-rods.

Slide the rack forward to separate it from the column splines.

Once disengaged, the intermediate column can be slid forward out of the footbox.
