Battery MountingThe battery mounting tray with hold-down (mounted between the passenger footbox and the wheelhouse) is standard in the kit. The illustration is from the assembly manual. Removal and replacement is accomplished through a removeable front wheelhouse panel. While the engine compartment installation is tight, the battery is conveniently located close to the starter. |  |
 | Optionally, the battery can be mounted in the forward area of the trunk for better weight distribution. We recommend a racing-style Optima battery which requires no maintenance. This car has our optional closing panels which hide the battery completely. Because there is considerable space left over behind the panels, you also end up with some useful storage space over the rear suspension to the left of the battery. We've also installed a cutoff switch on this car (at the right). |
